Hi Everyone!

Happy Hump Day! One of my favorite things to do in this city is eat, drink and explore. So when I find a place that combines all three – well, I consider it a win/win.

Last night I had the opportunity to check out the newly opened Evil Eye on 25th and Mission! Usually, I only head over to the deeper part of Mission to partake in El Rio's monthly Hard French tradition, however, I've been finding myself exploring these parts a lot more lately. From Emmi's Spaghetti Shack to Cafe St. Jorge, there are so many delicious places to nosh.

Nestled a block away from the 24th Street BART, Evil Eye is  a casual and cool bar that specializes in killer craft cocktails, sexy interior decor and delicious food. Owners Matt and Piper Norris have lived in SF for over 15 years in many different neighborhoods but are quite fond of where Evil Eye sits. Their hopes for Evil Eye is to bring back some of that old-school flair to San Francisco. It surely shows.

Urban Daddy called it, "A Mission bar that looks like Mick Jagger's living room." How could you not be intrigued?

From the interior to the drinks to the food, everything is unique and feels (honestly) really special. Some of my favorites?

DRINKS

  • The Sweet Petunia Cocktail – vanilla-infused vodka, nectarine-ginger shrub, campari, lemon, orgeat
  • Gin Bramble – gin, lemon, amaro, blackberry

FOOD

  • Pimenton Fries – house cut with harissa ketchup and roasted garlic aioli
  • Pork Belly Toast – with rock shrimp and kimchi
  • Deviled Eggs – beet pickled deviled eggs

If you're looking for a good time, head over to Evil Eye and say hello!

Cheers!
