SF GUiDE: 3 Brunch Favorites

Before living in San Francisco, I opted for cereal during breakfast hours. If I was feeling WILD, I may have made an egg or two (though VERY RARE). Oh, how naive I was to the world of other breakfast foods.

And after living in SF for seven years, brunch has become a STAPLE. Status quo, really. But to be honest, I can't wait in lines anymore. It kills my morning vibe. Y'all feel me?

Sooooo, that's why I wake up at the crack ass of dawn to beat the lines and fill my belly with some delicious eeeeeats.

That being said, I'm sharing 3 new found favorites as of late:

1. BUFFALO THEORY

After the World Cup, Tom and I were jonesing for some food. We celebrated a France win with Chilaquiles, granola, yogurt and fruit and of course, copious amounts of coffee and OJ over at Buffalo Theory. From 11 to 3:30 p.m., they serve up some …

From 11 to 3:30 p.m., they serve up some damn good food. I mean, hangover hash (yes, please!) and strawberry beermosas? Done and done. Even better? Buffalo Theory is on Polk so it's the perfect place to stagger in hungry and leave satisfied so you can enjoy all the boutiques along the street.

2. LE MARAIS

When it comes to French things, here's a few things I know for sure: My name is French, I love berets and damnit, I love a good croissant. I also fell in love with France after visiting Paris for the first time back in April. So, when I stopped…

I also fell in love with France after visiting Paris for the first time back in April. So, when I stopped by Le Marais (locations in both the Marina and Castro), I was skeptical if the food would live up to the name.

Oh you guys – it did. I mean, look at the photo. I got the eggs benedict (their version) and a turkey sandwich but besides that, we got a fruit tarte, chocolate croissant, another delicious cake I have NO idea what it was, and tons of coffee. They just reopened the Marina location with a bit of a renovation and it's absolutely stunning! Check it out!

3. BRENDA'S MEAT & THREE

Okay, so it's not off the beaten path and well, a lot of people know about Brenda's Meat & Three. This may be why the line is usually out the door around 9:30/10 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Regardless, I love it. The one near my house on Div…

Okay, so it's not off the beaten path and well, a lot of people know about Brenda's Meat & Three. This may be why the line is usually out the door around 9:30/10 a.m. every Saturday and Sunday. Regardless, I love it. The one near my house on Divisadero is charming, has a beautiful wooden bar and has an outdoor area! Win/win!

Some delicious favorites on the menu:

-Beignet Flight (must haveee!)
-Taste of country gumbo
-Corn succotash & white cheddar omelette
-Flapjack stack
