Hey Everyone!
Hope y'all had a great weekend. To be completely honest, it's hard to live life normally when all that's been going on in the world. From mass shootings to insane wild fires, it seems like the world just can't catch a damn break.
So while I can go about my day to day and share my weekend recap and all the good things that went on, it still feels...well, a bit wrong?
And yes, I'll mention some highlights (getting a glimpse of the beautiful Clare V. store and hiking with some pretty fab ladies), I'll also share some ways you can give a helping hand to those in need:
Volunteer in the North Bay and donate (some places below):
- Elsie Allen High School (599 Bellevue Ave, Santa Rosa) or Cook Middle School (2480 Sebastopol Rd., Santa Rosa), to volunteer call (707) 577-7600 or go in person
- Food pantries of Sonoma County, various locations
- Food pantries of Napa County, various locations
- Food pantries of Yuba County
- Veterans Memorial Building and Hall, 1351 Maple Ave. (Santa Rosa)
- Petaluma Community Center, 320 N. McDowell Blvd. (Petaluma)
- Sonoma County Fairgrounds (open for large- and medium-sized livestock and farm animals), access via Gate 7 on Aston Ave. (Sonoma)
- Ramekins Culinary School and Inn, 450 W. Spain St. (Sonoma)
- Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds (open to accommodate small livestock and other farm animals, access via Gate 4 on 175 Fairgrounds Dr (Petaluma)
- Crosswalk Church (currently at-capacity and in need of aid), 2590 1st St. (Napa)

- Marin shelter: 10 Avenue of the Flags (San Rafael)
- Grocery Outlet Bargin Market, 80 E Washington St. (Petaluma)

Donate cash (and always check the charity!)
Cash involves no transportation so it's easy to donate β especially if you don't live in the area. But make sure you check the charity first. My favorites include those helping animals like Humane Society of Sonoma County and Humane Society of Napa County.
These are just a few things and I'd love to hear more if you have 'em!
Thanks!
