Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday! I hope y'all had a great holiday and even better holiday aftermath – this includes but is not limited to: going on a eating frenzy with holiday leftovers, attempting to go shopping and uncover some "sales" only to find everything is now 3 sizes too big, falling asleep at 10:30 p.m. from all the craziness, etc. The list goes on, so i'll spare you. This just happened to be me.
I got back into San Francisco late Saturday evening. Traveling can be a little crazy, but luckily I am a pretty mellow traveler and just slept the entire way (woo!) Sunday was spent for waking up early, exploring Hayes Valley a bit, and getting brunch.
Also, trekking to Union Square for the ZARA sale. You guys know how addicted I am, right? Also stopped by Warby Parker in Hayes Valley to get a new pair of Huxley's and be on my merry way. It was a great way to cap the weekend.
That and going to The Progress. According to Eater SF, it's San Francisco's "hottest new ticket." And well, me and my foodie friends decided to go. And shit, the wait wasn't that bad. Stand in line at 4:45, get a reservation at 8 and figure out how to occupy your time in between then. Luckily, there's a variety of options around the Fillmore and we snacked on a cheese plate to curb our hunger pangs.
For y'all that haven't heard, The Progress is State Bird Provisions little sister. Everything at The Progress is family-style and you can choose from 6 courses to 7. I have to say, 6 is fairly enough for a group of 3 or 4. There's a lot of options and a lot of depth in the food, so come hungry.
It's been open 10 or 11 days so far, so GO. Don't walk, run to The Progress. Your belly will be happy.
Until tomorrow!
Cheers!
