Happy Thursday! Hope you're having a great week. So, remember the days (back in college) where Thursday's were Thirsty Thursdays? Maybe it was just OU (rep it!), but I remember casually sipping $1 beers and the infamous liquor pitcher at Lucky's.
Fast-forward 5 or so years and I'd consider myself a pretty reasonable (dare I say mature) drinker. And while there are still times where I'd leap at a dollar beer, I'm much more interested in a delicious cocktail and appetizers with friends.
That being said, one of my favorite places to do this is Palm House. I've written about them before (a lot actually) but a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to have dinner there and damn – it reminded me of how much I love the damn place.
Inside is light and airy and gives off MAJOR happy hour vibes in the best way. I've always been a HUGE fan of their ceviche but I just had their coconut prawns for the first time and HOLY DAMN – delicious.
Also a staple for me when heading to Palm House are their sweet potato fries (get the aioli because why not?). And of course, no day or evening would be complete without a Palm House cocktail, y'all.
If I'm feeling wild (which I usually am), I opt for the Chipotle Mango Margarita. Tequila, mango, lime and agave – yum! Some other highlights are their rad happy hour specials that include SLUSHY'S (YES!), 1/2 off bottles of wine and $1 off beer.
Is this heaven? Maybe not, but sure as hell looks like it.
