Sooooo, I'll give you a little back story behind today's post.
I wear makeup often. In fact, I wear makeup every. single. day. It's not that I hate my face. That's not it at all. I love makeup for the same reason why many of you do too – I can play with different looks and styles and really, be whoever I want to be.
That being said, sometimes you gotta let your face breathe. So, when I woke up last Friday with a swollen eye...well, I think that was the makeup gods saying, "Aimee, give it a freakin' rest."
So, I did.
It feels a little unnerving to have your photo taken when you don't really look like you're "best." But then again, what is your "best?"
I was talking to Tory about this whole scenario and mentioned that I was self-conscious about it. She had no idea I wasn't wearing any makeup at all!
So there you have it, folks. This is me in all my swollen-eyed, Friday morning glory. Because if you can't be real then what can you be?
