SOJU SO GOOD

A few years back, I voraciously read Eater SF to find the "hottest and hippest restaurants in San Francisco. And for awhile, I actually went to (almost) every single one. Yes, my wallet suffered.

But to be honest, it was hard keeping up. There seems to be a restaurant opening (and closing) every other week. Yes, I love exploring and experimenting but man, you can only pay $14 so much for a dish that lacks, uh...interesting energy?

So, if we're being honest, when I stopped by Foxsister, I was a little jaded. I didn't know what I was in for and even moreso, I never really had Korean food.

Sitting on 24th Street in the Mission, Foxsister looks damn cool. With artistic graffiti flanking the walls, the restaurant is the perfect background for slayin' IG. Upon walking in, the interior follows suit with a glittery bar that makes you want to go all Coyote Ugly (if that was appropriate, of course).

To start this off, Foxsister is the perfect place to start the night. You've got delicious food, but the real winner in my eyes is the drink selection. I never had soju prior, but they have this in slushie form and it went down. A little too easily.

Some other standouts?

  • Pork & Beef Dumplings: Obvious reasons
  • Slow Cooked Ribs: Messy, but that's part of the fun. The glaze is G-O-O-D!
  • Spicy Pork Bulgogi: New to me, the pork shoulder was bomb

And of course, wash it with another Soju slushie and a Hite! Check out Foxsister for tasty food and a raucous good time.
