Jeans, Jacket, Top, Shoes: Old Navy
I love shopping – this is no surprise. I love shopping so much so that my boyfriend has had to call outside help (i.e. my best friends) to do closet cleanouts. Shout out to Andi and Courtney for being my saving grace.
But, on the other hand – shopping sometimes sucks. I know y’all feel me, too. And, more often than not, this used to revolve around two things (until very recently) – swimsuits and jeans.
These two things have been my arch nemesis for quite some time. I either couldn’t find anything that fit, made me feel like a rockstar or looked like something I’d actually wear.
And while I’m still grappling with finding the perfect swimsuit, I’ve recently found jeans that not only look amazing and trendy, but fit my figure AND budget! Yaaaaaas!
I’m a full-fledged Old Navy addict, but usually I spend my time scooping up basic tees and comfortable flats. This time, I was astounded by the insane variety and volume of denim.
From boyfriend jeans to high-waisted, I came across so many styles that I had to try on.
For me, I scooped up a pair of black Rockstar Skinnies and for kicks (quite literally), I snatched the on-trend Flare jeans to try on. I love a good pair of skinny jeans and the Rockstars I tried on are built with a stretch-fabric to hold ya in all day long. Finally, no more pulling and tugging.
I immediately fell in love with these mid-rise cropped flares that looked lived-in and fit my petite frame. Since they’re definitely a hot to trot style this season, I wanted to pair them with some basics I have in my wardrobe that I knew I could wear to work, to dinner or to a casual morning at the Farmer’s Market.
To make the outfit feel like me, I threw on a camo jacket, a classic black Old Navy v-neck and some slides (y’all know I love to walk).
If you’re short like me, head on over to Old Navy ASAP – I recently found out they have ankle sizes and even styles like this cropped flare to give you some added height. I promise, you’ll look and feel like a rockstar without paying like one. :)
