I don't know about you guys, but I'm either on my computer or my phone the majority of the day. Whether it's making me feel less focused or less productive, I feel pretty overwhelmed with how my digital devices affect me. Admittedly, I've been known to go on Instagram rabbit holes where I'm checking out my ex-boyfriend's best friend's third cousin twice removed. WHY. WHY!?
So when Adobe let me in on an event focusing on silence so to speak, was a breath of fresh air. Adobe is seeing a growing need for images that offer respite; They let me know that a a recent study found that a typical office worker has only 11 minutes between interruptions. Combine this with the fact that it takes an average of 25 minutes to return to your original task after an interruption.
Crazy, right?
More than ever, calm and stillness is what we need. And that's just what Adobe did. Starting off with yoga and meditation and then checking out the biggest visual trends of 2018. It's nice to realize that the notion of silence and solitude is resonating with others.
