Thirsty Thursday

I'd say I have a few (very deep) passions in life. In fact, I'll share a few (in order) to see if you have similar ones, too.

1. Cheese (preferably Mozzarella Sticks)
2. French Bulldogs and/or Pugs
3. Going out to eat
4. Drinking cocktails
5. Shopping at Crossroads Trading
Β

Now, I have a ton of other passions but that list would be too long and I feel like five is a pretty good number. Right? But being in San Francisco, passions #3 and #4 (and really all of them) are pretty easy to pursue.

Ever since I was a kid I've always loved trying out different types of food, but as they say, you can take the girl out of Ohio but you really can't take the Ohio out of the girl. And with that, sometimes I just love combining passion #1 at Applebee's. And for that, I have no shame.

BUT, what they didn't really have in my town was a good bar or cocktail spot. Needless to say, I was around 18 and couldn't drink at that age, but luckily, San Francisco helps in expanding my cocktail palette.

And being in California, I've reaaaaaallly fallen in love with Mexican food. Even better when paired with an epic margarita or some type of drink that has Tequila, yeah? When I'm not feeling a margarita, I usually switch it up with a Paloma. And you guys, this shit is SO EASY. It's, dare I say, fool proof.

A little (delicious) recipe for ya:

Espolon Paloma

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 oz. Espolon Tequila Blanco

  • 1/2 oz. Lime Juice

  • Sparking Grapefruit Juice

DIRECTIONS

Rim highball glass with salt. Shake Blanco and lime juice over ice and pour into glass. Fill remainder of glass with Sparkling Grapefruit Juice. Garnish with grapefruit peel or wedge. Enjoy!
