The past week/weekend was kind of a whirlwind to be honest. At work, we had our annual KnitCon, a time where every employee stops working and starts learning – about each other. It's one of my favorite times of the year because Pinterest has so many damn talented and special people. I learned the basics of Dim Sum, how to make a Ampersand-worthy flower arrangement, and heard some incredible speakers.
And, to make myself a little uncomfortable (2017's mission), I even taught a class! It was all about the 5 Love Languages and how you can relate them to work. It was super special and if y'all are curious – I'm an open book.
Earlier in the week I spoke on a Life According to Her panel about career pivots, switches, etc. It's crazy how many people are feeling the same things with their career! I love how honest and open everyone is about their successes, struggles, and everything in between. If you get a chance to check out the podcast, do so!
After the semi chaotic week, all I wanted to do was some yoga (checked that off thanks to Henry's Hard Soda), pack for my upcoming move, and clean my closet. Luckily, I did all three with the help of some majorly supportive friends.
I also checked out Perch in Glen Park. And if y'all haven't been to that neighborhood, GO! It's SO cute and quiet without being too quiet. And going with the theme of a comfy weekend, I snagged a pair of Allbirds and WOW – these babies are S O F T. Seriously, invest in a pair. Your toesies will be so happy ya did.
Cheers!
