Hi Everyone!
Life is all about moments – big and small. Moving out to San Francisco almost 5 years ago was one of those moments – a very big one in fact. Coming from Ohio, I really never experienced the West Coast and spent much of my time exploring familiar territory like New York and Chicago.
So much has happened in these 5 years that life in Ohio feels like a lifetime ago. I can say one thing, though. California is by far the most beautiful place I've ever been. I'm not just talking about San Francisco, y'all. California is much, much more to me than this 7x7 city. It's the numerous national parks that are full of adventure, it's the snow in Tahoe, and the beauty of the California coastline.
As a Californian (yes, I'm calling myself that), a rite of passage is to go down the 101 and take in the beauty of this state. The Highway 1 is a windy road that runs along most of the Pacific coastline and by far my favorite place to take visitors (new and old alike). You haven't experienced California until you've experienced Big Sur and Monterey. It's an adventure in itself.
Big Sur is the place to check off your California bucket list when you travel. From hiking to swimming to eating, Big Sur and all of Monterey is like stepping into a dream. Seriously, the possibilities of what to do, what to see and what to eat are endless.
Looking for a family fun experience? Head on over to Monterey Bay Aquarium and say hi to my favorite otters!
In the business of wining and dining? Head on over to Big Sur Bakery for an epic meal that will leave your tastebuds rejoicing.

So what are you waiting for? #GrabYourMoment and go down the road less traveled by – I promise it's worth it.

Cheers!
