Happy Friday, y'all!
A lot of changes have happened in the last few months – for me and a lot of people I know. And that's why I feel the need to write this. Even if it's nonsensical.
For the most part, I hate change. Often times it's forced, comes full throttle and I don't have adequate time to get used to what's being thrown at me.
A lot of the change I've experienced, I've had really no control over. Whether it be jobs or relationships, many changes have been one sided – and I wasn't included in that decision. Regardless, it's hard to take change when it's presented to you. You experience a fight or flight situation where you head for the high hills or resist, resist, resist.
Depending on the type of person you are, I'm sure your response and reactions are varied. It's hard to keep perspective when life is thrown at you and you're not ready for it. In fact, it's really freaking scary.
On the other hand, sometimes change is great. You lose a job, a girlfriend, a boyfriend, etc. This was forced upon you and in hindsight, could be the best thing that's ever happened to you. But that's hindsight. Better late than never, I guess?
So while change can blow, feel awkward, make you uncomfortable, I urge you to keep going. Trust the process and trust the timing that is your life.
Cheers and happy weekend!
