Happy 2016 over on the West Coast! Well, it's been 2016 for quite some time, but since it's the first time I've posted in the new year, well...i'm excited. Can't you tell?

Some people hate New Years and resolutions. Me? Definitely not one of them. I think they bring so much promise and yeah, a little bit of hope. Who hates that?

This year I've summed up as the "Year of Change." I'll be writing about that later this week. It stems from my 2016 resolution to be more candid, honest, and open with my feelings. And if you've ever talked to any of my friends, I really hate feelings.

SO! I think there's a lot of opportunity within that first post and the remainder of 2016 to do whatever I want to do and be whoever I want to be. Now that's some power.

I closed out 2015 in the best way possible with really good friends in a city I love – New York. I ate my way through Harlem trying my hand at Italian at the delicious Lido and then Southern Soul at Red Rooster.

I commuted on the subway from Newark to Harlem to Brooklyn and didn't get lost – not even once! Had a hangover even before 2016 begun, but didn't mind since I was in the company of old friends like Emily and Jordan.

We explored the Brooklyn Museum (so beautiful!), sipped Pho at 5-Spice, cheersed one another at Tooker Alley, and lounged in the evening.

It was a perfect way to end 2015 and I'm so damn excited to see what 2016 has in store.

Cheers!
