Hi Everyone!
Happy Tuesday! Like I mentioned yesterday during my weekend roundup, I gallivanted all throughout SF Saturday and Sunday.
A highlight? Brunch Saturday morning at Hecho. I've walked past Hecho numerous times before. You know, headed to Hot Cookie for a sweet treat or getting from the Mission to the Castro, but never had the chance to stop on in besides a late night many moons ago for drunken tacos.
Luckily, I had the opportunity to taste out their menu starting with brunch. Hecho is a pretty big space – perfect for natural light and the ultimate photo opp. We sat down and were greeted by the amazing Cory Armenta, Executive Chef at Hecho who recently updated and expanded the restaurant’s dinner and weekend brunch menus.
Cory pulled out all the stops for brunch including their signature Hecho dish that featured hash Yukon Gold potatoes, roasted peppers, and onion smothered in queso fundido (drool worthy). Along with the hash, we snacked on chilaquiles and an amazing watermelon and mint salad.
It's not a brunch without the booziness, right? I know better and of course taste tested almost every libation on their menu. Some favorites? Their blackberry sabbath, margarita, and smoke on the water.
So, next time you're in the Castro or straddling the Mission (hell, any time you're in SF), head over to Hecho. Your tastebuds will give you a pat on the back. Or something...:)
Cheers!
